Monthly Reading Wrap Up | October 2017

How it’s already November? I don’t know.  October has been a hell of a month for me, both – Professionally and Personally. Although I am trying to pick up on my reading speed in order to finish my goodreads yearly goal, It’s been quite a lovely reading experience for me.  I wanted to read more horror and thriller themed books, although i did manage to squeeze in a bit of YA Fiction, since i really enjoy reading those. I have read a lot of books from authors i haven’t read before, along with trying out different formats for books, so i consider this to be a pretty diverse month with respect to formats, authors and genres.

The Kite Runner We Have Always Lived in the Castle The Miserable Mill (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #4) The Wide Window (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #3)

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, #1)  Pune Murder Chronicles The Graveyard Book  Carrie

Thirteen Hours Turtles All the Way Down The Canterville Ghost

The Sun and Her Flowers  Asterix and Cleopatra (Asterix, #6)  Asterix and the Big Fight (Asterix, #7)

Favorite reads:  The books read for the month of October were entirely outstanding.  My favorite book would probably be We have always lived in the Castle; another book that kind of stands out was probably The Kite Runner.  Oh yes, and a little shout out for John Green’s  newest, Turtles all the way down. I loved Carrie and did end up watching the movie as well. This months LGBTQ+ pick of the month was Aristotle and Dante discover the Secrets of the Universe.
Disappointing reads:  The truth is, my biggest disappointment was probably The Canterville Ghost.  That’s not to say it was a bad read or anything, but it wasn’t exactly what I’d been hoping for…   Another disappointment might be A Series of Unfortunate Events – i really want to finish the series but i guess i am too old for it now.
