How to find the Source of an Image in 3 easy steps.

I have a huge pet peeve of uploading images that aren’t mine and giving correct image credits to each one of them.  I am always struggling to get to the source of an image since i guess, it’s the right thing to do.  And, i discovered the perfect way to solve this problem. I am sure most of you might already know this trick, but for those who don’t… Here it is…

Step 1:

Open Google Image Search

Step 2:

  • UPLOAD IMAGE:
If the image is on your computer, click the little camera icon and choose upload photo.
  • PASTE IMAGE URL:
If the image is online, click the camera icon and paste the direct url or address of the image.
  • You can also drag the image into the search box

Step 3:

You’ll see pages that include the image you searched for, one of these is likely to be the owner and the original source.
You may also see a lot of Pinterest links and a list of visually similar images.

This is an example of one of the images i have uploaded from my computer, and have successfully found it on my blog post.
I hope this trick helps you give correct image credits for all your blog posts.
